GOAL

Cut 90% of repetitive door modelling time

Every architecture project needs dozens of doors with different sizes, panel counts, materials. Manual modelling is slow; copy-pasting breaks specs. Window Tools creates doors as parametric Dynamic Components — resize once, every detail (frame, glass, handles, hinges) updates in proportion.

Truly parametric

Not just scale-distortion — every resize recomputes frame/glass/handle proportions to real-world rules.

Faster than Component Options

A dedicated door panel — no scrolling through 20 raw DC attributes, only the parameters you actually need.

Personal door library

Every door you build is saved to your library — reuse on the next project instead of rebuilding.

BETA v1.0.0 FEATURES

What can the plugin do today?

4 core tools — everything you need to build doors and reuse them across projects.

Create / edit doors

HTML panel: pick door or window, enter width × height, panel count, fixed panes (top/bottom/sides), frame + glass materials → drop the Dynamic Component at your click point.

Door library

Every door you build gets a thumbnail + name + full parameters. One click drops it into a new project — parameters preserved, editable after drop.

Edit selected door

Select any Arcpoly door in the model → open the custom parameter panel (replaces the raw Component Options dialog). Resize, change panel count or material → see live preview.

Convert existing model to a door

Already have a hand-modelled door? Select it — the plugin auto-detects frame, panels, fixed panes, and attaches parametric attributes. Now resize like a native DC — no rebuild needed.

Auto-placed handles & hinges

Built-in handle + hinge library — pick a style and it snaps to the right position, with the correct swing direction. No more copy-paste from other models.

Frame + glass materials

Pick timber / aluminium / uPVC for the frame, and clear / frosted / reflective for the glass. Materials go on the right sub-parts automatically — no manual painting.
